Making wire forms, custom and standard, is a specialty of Marlin Steel Wire Products. We design and engineer wire forms in stainless, galvanized, or plain steel. We make hundreds of thousands of custom steel wire forms each week. We have two robots that straighten, bend, and cut forms very quickly, so we can ship to you very quickly. How to order Wire Form?
To request more information on wire forms, let us know what you want (send us a PDF image, fax us a drawing, or send us an actual sample) and ask us to “make it fast.” Let us know the weight it will carry, its finish, its critical dimensions, and the quantity needed so we can prepare prints and a quotation.
Marlin will submit a quote. Upon receipt of a signed purchase order, Marlin will gen-erate precise AutoCAD prints that will detail the front view of the wire form, the side view (if three dimensions), top view (if three dimensions) and an isometric view (as if you were standing over the wire form near the corner). If it will help you, we can de-pict your wire form mating with another part. Upon receipt of the print, you will con-firm that the proposed wire form will meet your requirements.
Upon your print approval, we will release travelers to the machine centers that will fabricate your wire form. The bending department will fabricate your parts on two- or three-dimensional robots optimally suited to make precisely repeatable parts. We utilize aluminum fixtures on robots that weld parts consistently (resistance or MIG, depending on the application). As an example of our manufacturing quality, our ro-botic MIG welder welds parts with a tolerance of +/- 0.003” in each of the x, y, and z planes. The MIG welder will be the ultimate quality checker of your parts.
Once the parts are welded, we can finish the hook or wire form. Typical finishes we provide include electropolish (for stainless), nickel plating, chrome plating, epoxy coating, powder coating, plastisol PVC coating, nylon coating, and galvanizing. Whether finished or raw, we pack the final product securely and ship in sturdy car-tons.
