On March 12, 2026, Marlin Steel Wire Products is proud to celebrate National Working Mothers Day by recognizing one of our outstanding team members, Nora Pruitt, who will be honored at the White House as part of the national celebration.
Nora has been invited to attend the event in Washington, D.C., where she will represent working mothers across the country and share a few words about her journey balancing family, career growth, and opportunity in American manufacturing.
A wife and mother of seven children, Nora’s story reflects the determination, resilience, and work ethic that define the American manufacturing workforce.
Before joining Marlin Steel, Nora worked as a house cleaner, supporting her family through demanding work while searching for opportunities to build a long-term career.
She began her journey at Marlin Steel, working in pail handle production, where her strong work ethic and commitment quickly stood out. Over time, Nora continued developing her skills and earned opportunities to advance into sheet metal fabrication.
Today, she operates advanced manufacturing equipment, including laser cutting systems and press brakes, producing precision components used across industries.
As Marlin Steel continues investing in advanced manufacturing technology, Nora will soon be taking on an exciting new role operating the company’s TRUMPF TruMatic punch laser system.
To support this next step in her career, Nora is also scheduled to attend TRUMPF’s advanced training program in Connecticut, where she will receive specialized instruction on operating and maximizing the capabilities of the TruMatic system.
This training reflects Marlin’s commitment to investing not only in cutting-edge equipment, but also in the skilled people who power American manufacturing.
Being invited to the White House for National Working Mothers Day is a tremendous honor and reflects the dedication Nora brings both to her family and her career.
Employees like Nora represent the backbone of American manufacturing, individuals who balance family responsibilities while continuously building new skills and contributing to the growth of U.S. industry.
The entire Marlin Steel team is proud to celebrate Nora and looks forward to supporting her continued success.
