Made from plain steel for tensile strength and coated in PVC to provide a gentle contact surface and improved chemical resistance, this custom basket was made for holding high-precision parts where any kind of surface damage could ruin the part.
To minimize basket weight, a minimalist design was employed, one that used steel wire for the frame. However, to ensure that parts would nestle perfectly within the basket, custom-cut sheet metal plates were used for the inserts. This provides the best tensile strength to support the 30 lb. maximum weight of held parts specified in the client’s responses to our questionnaire.
