My name is Maxie Farrelly. I work here at Marlins Steel, and I program and operate the CNC router. I was always an artist. I actually went to college for interdisciplinary objects design. That program really taught me 3D modeling, and once you learn about 3D modeling, you can do anything.
I graduated college and worked as a jeweler. I didn’t love it, so I looked for other jobs. This popped up, and I said, it’s similar to what I already know, so let me try this. Manufacturing is a lot like problem-solving and figuring things out as you go. No two days are the same.
I like to see how many young women are getting into manufacturing and engineering nowadays. It’s refreshing when you meet other women that make.

Drew Greenblatt: Thanksgiving. Uh, this is a time to be grateful uh, and—and—and appreciative for all the things that uh, we have, all the blessings we have in life. One of our blessing, one of my blessings, is that Nathan Myers uh, 25 years ago he came to Marlin.
And just to kind of let you guys know, we were only 16,000 square feet at that point and most of the employees were from New York. Okay. Um, we were just in these—right right where that blue marlin sign is and where the AIM is. That's how big the building was when Nathan joined our team. And when he joined our team, more than half the people spoke uh, Spanish because they came down from Brooklyn, New York, and that's where—where our talent was from.
Nathan was an out-of-the-box rockstar uh, just phenomenal uh, with his uh, clever ideas for tooling, unique ways to approach things, and he's been such a—a wonderful teammate for many, many literally decades. And it's—it's like I said, Thanksgiving is a time for thanks. And I'm thankful that Nathan is here. He has crushed it. Thousands and thousands of really smart ideas, happy clients, and the other thing is he's a really nice guy. Okay. I mean, and—and—and he's just a pleasure to be around.
Um, uh, so—so today is 25 years from his being part of our family and uh, I'm happy to announce that he's acknowledged and agreed and signed a contract for an additional 25 years. So today is the midday point is today. Um, so uh, just a couple things about Nathan. Uh, he's one of the employees at Marlin uh, that met President [Trump], and we really honor uh, that uh, he represented all of us uh, when he—when we met with the president.
Um, and uh, separately um, because this is such a huge milestone, 25 years, we're changing our policy from now on—call the "Nathan Policy"—we're adding an extra week of vacation when you hit this uh, level. So, this is a note that uh, reflects that uh, that new policy change. So, Nathan will be enjoying an extra week vacation. And I just wanted to—so, you—you'll be the first person to enjoy it. Okay.
Nathan Myers: Yeah.
Drew Greenblatt: That's the policy.
Nathan Myers: Exactly. Exactly. The second right behind me.
Drew Greenblatt: Not too far from—not—what is—what is your day?
Employee: I think I'll be 19 [years].
Drew Greenblatt: That's awesome. That's awesome. So, um, everybody knows that, uh, Nathan is, uh, a unique person and he's got a lot of cool hobbies and, uh, one of them is, uh, uh, likes, uh, certain, uh, fancy things, nice things, cool things. And this is a little uh, gift that uh, little thank you gift. Uh, and uh, it's um, I think you'll enjoy it when you open it up. And uh, we have a second gift. That's the first—that's the first gift. And here's the second. Okay. So, um, so you can go ahead and open them. Oh, I'm sorry.
Nathan Myers: Oh, recognize the box.
Employees: Oh, nice. Oh, that's cool. That's very nice.
Nathan Myers: Thank you.
Drew Greenblatt: Say—show everybody.
Nathan Myers: Thank you everybody. Yeah. Very nice.
Drew Greenblatt: This is a vintage Italian pen. Guys, it would have been weird to get you a gun today. A pen is a little more—it follows the employee manual.
Nathan Myers: Yeah. Very nice. Thank you.
Drew Greenblatt: Thank you. Congratulations. So happy you're here.
Nathan Myers: Thank you.
Drew Greenblatt: So let's eat, celebrate. Nathan, there's one—one more that's been in my office for 7 and 1/2 years. The [Marlin] belongs out in the floor. So you get to take that, mounted above your—across—put it on the—
Nathan Myers: Fish. Big fish.
Drew Greenblatt: Oh, okay. So he's out here. Yeah. You're the new—you're the new caretaker of the Marlin. My wife gave that to me when I started here. Day one or day two. All right.
