Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

  1. Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
  2. Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  3. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  4. Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
  5. Develop and/or maintain maintenance schedules and ensure implementation
  6. Inspect or test damaged machine parts for defects and functionality and repair as needed
  7. Perform safety inspections of the facility to identify and resolve issues
  8. Assist in the planning and oversight of all repair and installation activities
  9. Monitor equipment inventory and request purchase orders when necessary
  10. Manage relationships with contractors and service providers
  11. Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities
  12. Ensure health and safety policies are complied with
  13. Ensure efficient repair schedules and review repair cost estimates
  14. Prioritize the maintenance and repairs of company equipment and parts
  15. Control and monitor inventory
  16. Ensure that all forklifts are cleaned, fueled and in proper working order
  17. Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications and schematics

  1. Working knowledge of facility machines and equipment
  2. Ability to keep track of and report on activity
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  4. Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems

CNC Sheet Metal Operator

Essential Functions:
  1. Ensure working environment is clean and safe
  2. Operate CNC sheet metal machines such as resistance welders, punch, laser, press brake, tool sharpener and steelmaster.
  3. Select appropriate material as required by each job specification
  4. Keep raw materials storage area properly organized and all materials identified.
  5. Read and interpret measurements, blueprints, sketches and assembly instructions
  6. Measure work piece dimensions to determine accuracy of operations, verify specifications and alter dimensions to fit specifications
  7. Set up and operate hand bending and pneumatic bending equipment as required per part specifications and machine capabilities.
  8. Complete minor maintenance such as oiling machines, dies or work pieces
  9. Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform repairs as needed
  10. Observes machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction
  11. Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems
  12. Report errors in production line
  13. Complete quality control forms in accordance with company procedures
  14. Communicate and provide information to supervisors and coworkers
  15. Removes burrs, sharp edges or rust from work piece.
  16. Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor
Competencies
  1. Programming/Operating sheet metal equipment
  2. Use measuring equipment (to include tape measure, micrometer etc.) for verification of parts to specification
  3. Understanding of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  4. Mechanical knowledge of machine and tools including the ability to learn new equipment and techniques
  5. Teamwork orientation
  6. Problem solving/analysis
  7. Technical capacity

Job Description
  1. Responsible for fabricating and assembling various metal products using tools, machines and their own hands.
  2. Build samples and test products.

  3. Select appropriate material such as mild steel, galvanized steel, stainless steel and aluminum.
  4. Read and interpret measurements, blueprints, sketches and assembly instructions.
  5. Measure work piece dimensions to determine accuracy of operations, verify specifications and alter dimensions to fit specifications.
  6. Complete minor maintenance on such as oiling machines, dies or work pieces.
  7. Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform minor repairs as needed.
