Essential Functions:
  • Use Autodesk Inventor to design products and recommend changes in designs, tolerances or processing methods.
  • Complete projects on time based on the engineering and production schedule
  • Perform product inspections that adhere to quality standards set by Marlin Steel and/or clients
  • Identify opportunities or implement changes to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials and parts.
  • Provide technical expertise or support related to manufacturing and direct production
Competencies
  • Understanding of mechanical engineering principles
  • Computer aided design (CAD) software
  • Production and processing – knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
  • Interpreting mechanical drawings, designs and models
  • Mathematics
Basic Qualifications
  • ENME degree
  • Experience with AutoCad Inventor or SolidWorks
  • Employees have to be flexible and able to handle and prioritize several activities/projects at once
  • Past experience in fabricated metal products is a plus
  • Ability to improve our process is a definite plus

Job Description
  • Responsible for fabricating and assembling various metal products using tools, machines and their own hands.
  • Build samples and test products.
Essential Functions:
  • Ensure working environment is clean and safe.
  • Operate fabrication machines such as resistance welders, MIG welders, TIG welders, hand bending tools, press brake, grinders, ring roller, saw shear.
  • Select appropriate material such as mild steel, galvanized steel, stainless steel and aluminum.
  • Read and interpret measurements, blueprints, sketches and assembly instructions.
  • Measure work piece dimensions to determine accuracy of operations, verify specifications and alter dimensions to fit specifications.
  • Complete minor maintenance on such as oiling machines, dies or work pieces.
  • Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform minor repairs as needed.
  • Observes machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction.
  • Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
  • Report errors in production line
  • Complete quality control forms in accordance with company procedures.
  • Communicate and provide information to supervisors and coworkers.
  • Removes burrs, sharp edges or rust from work piece.
  • Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Competencies
  • Welding: MIG, TIG and Resistance.
  • Experience with stainless steel, plain steel, and aluminum.
  • Use measuring equipment (to include tape measure, micrometer etc.) for verification of parts to specification.
  • Understanding of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Mechanical knowledge of machine and tools including the ability to learn new equipment and techniques.

Warehouse Associate position

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, damages or discrepancies for reporting, accounting or recordkeeping purposes
  • Communicate in a professional manner with clients, vendors and employees via email
  • Pull material for direct production
  • Prepare documents such as bills of lading or shipping orders to route materials
  • Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping
  • Contact carrier representatives to make arrangements or to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials specified on the customer’s purchase order
  • Determine shipping methods, routes, or rates for materials to be shipped
  • Receiving, unpacking, verifying, and recording incoming material per ISO
  • Request and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock (pallets, boxes, bubble wrap etc.)
  • Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition
  • Other duties as requested
Job Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:
  • Ability to perform but not limited to the following tasks, be familiar with and able to interpret packing slips, accurate data entry, and acknowledge receipt of goods
  • Must be able to fill out bills of lading and be familiar with various forms that are used and required by the major freight carriers-- Experience with UPS/FEDEX online software is desirable
  • Must be capable of using weight to calculate the cost of shipping
  • Must be familiar with proper packaging methods and follow specific packaging requirements
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience
  • Manufacturing background preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Must be able to operate a forklift
  • Has experience with JobBoss or another inventory management system
Physical demands:
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, and move
  • Required to lift up to 50 lbs. 

Schedule: Onsite, Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm
Salary Range: $23-$26 / hour

Essential Functions:

  • Develop products that adhere to specific quality standards and contribute to cost reduction efforts.
  • Plan, direct, or coordinate quality assurance programs. Formulate quality control policies and control quality of engineering and production efforts.
Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain the quality management system per ISO 9001 and 13485
  • Perform product inspections throughout process that adhere to quality standards set by Marlin Steel and/or clients
  • Perform duties related to incoming materials including but not limited to
  • Contact vendors to resolve quality issues
    • Develop inspection instructions
    • Determine disposition of assembly defects
    • Track vendor quality ratings
    • Lot containment, develop sampling plans
    • Make determination on reject disposition.
  • Identify opportunities or implement changes to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials, and parts.
  • Maintain quality system/ database including but not limited to audit and identify missing data, develop custom report upon request
  • Analyze quality control results and provide feedback or support to production management or staff.
  • Manage and monitor performance of quality control systems to ensure effectiveness and efficiency
  • Communicate quality control information to all relevant organizational departments, outside vendors, or contractors.
  • Evaluate quality of materials or products and advise customers on technical or procedural issues
  • Review documents or materials for compliance with policies or regulations
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience working in a hands-on quality role with a manufacturing background.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, teamwork, and leadership skills to overcome obstacles.
  • Desire to lead, mentor and develop others.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and under the pressure of deadlines.
  • Must possess strong attention to detail and project management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
