• Ensure working environment is clean and safe
• Operate CNC sheet metal machines such as punch, laser, and press brake.
• Select appropriate material as required by each job specification
• Keep raw materials storage area properly organized and all materials identified.
• Read and interpret measurements, blueprints, sketches and assembly instructions
• Measure work piece dimensions to determine accuracy of operations, verify specifications and alter dimensions to fit specifications
• Set up and operate hand bending and pneumatic bending equipment as required per part specifications and machine capabilities.
• Complete minor maintenance such as oiling machines, dies or work pieces
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform repairs as needed
• Observes machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction
• Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems
• Report errors in production line
• Complete quality control forms in accordance with company procedures
• Communicate and provide information to supervisors and coworkers
• Removes burrs, sharp edges or rust from work piece.
• Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor

• Programming/Operating sheet metal equipment
• Use measuring equipment (to include tape measure, micrometer etc.) for verification of parts to specification
• Understanding of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
• Mechanical knowledge of machine and tools including the ability to learn new equipment and techniques
