Join Marlin Steel at the 2015 Manufacturing Leadership Session!

Join Marlin Steel in Cincinnati for the Manufacturing Leadership Session on October 15!On Thursday, October 15 at the GE Aviation Brian Rowe Learning Center in Cincinnati, OH, Marlin Steel CEO Drew Greenblatt will be giving a keynote speech; along with other manufacturing industry thought leaders such as Cheryl Neiheisel of Richards Industries and Michael Vogt, of Mazak at the 2015 Manufacturing Leadership Session.

What’s the Session About?

The session, which will be a joint conversation between Greenblatt, Heiheisel, and Vogt, is designed to address the issue of the critical skills gap facing the manufacturing industry as a whole in the coming years.

All over America, there just aren’t enough skilled workers in the workforce to fill all of the different jobs manufacturers need to fill to survive and thrive in the highly-competitive modern market. This discussion aims to illuminate ways that companies might address the issue of not having access to trained talent to fill their critical job roles.

When Does the Keynote Begin?

The keynote begins at 8:00 A.M. sharp on Thursday, October 15. The discussion between the speakers will continue until 9:30 A.M., whereupon the attendees will be able to start a tour of the GE Aviation Learning Center Facilities.

Who Will Be There?

Hosted by Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber and Partners for a Competitive Workforce, the event will be attended by not only the keynote speakers, but by many of the leading manufacturers in the greater Cincinnati, OH area, as well as representatives from some of the biggest manufacturers in the U.S.

Here’s some info on each of the speakers at the event:

  • Drew Greenblatt. The CEO and owner of Marlin Steel. When faced with foreign competitors who could sell baskets for less than the cost of the materials needed to make them, he was able to refocus the company onto a new market segment, one that focused on quality of results rather than just on cost. This revitalized the once-dying company, creating impressive growth.
  • Cheryl Neiheisel. Vice President of Human Resources and Director of Community Affairs at Richards Industries. Neiheisel started with Richards Industries in 1997, steadily working her way up to VP of HR. Richards Industries has been recognized as one of the “Best Places to Work” by Cincy Magazine six times in seven years.
  • Michael Vogt. The VP of HR and General Affairs for Mazak’s USA branch. Mazak USA won the 2014 Manny Award for Manufacturing Excellence and the 2013 Award for the Cincinnati USA Partnership for Economic Development’s Growth.

These speakers, and their companies, have well-established records in making the most out of their most precious and valuable resource: their employees.
