Chairman of the House Small Business Committee Roger Williams and Drew Greenblatt
Speaker of the US House of Representatives Mike Johnson and Drew Greenblatt
Governor Larry Hogan, Commerce Secretary Schultz, and Drew Greenblatt
Jay Timmons: Drew has incredible energy and enthusiasm and he brought that to his role as chair of the small and medium manufacturers group and it shows in everything he does for us. He's tenacious.
Chuck Wetherington: Drew really is focused on both his business and the message he wants to get out. He speaks with, you know, right from his gut every time he's talking about issues and, you know, he really means it.
Vicki Holt: One of the things that I love about him is that he is very inclusive and he took the time to get to know me and to get to know my company, even so much as to visit us in Minnesota so that he can make sure he was representing our voice as well.
Jay Timmons: Drew is always on call for manufacturers.
Chuck Wetherington: I don't think we've ever had a chairman that's been more available than Drew. Drew is always there he's always ready to go on TV, he's always ready to hit the Hill. He wants to get the message out. He will make time always to go be the speaker, to be the voice, and he's done a fantastic job at that.
Vicki Holt: He's tireless in how he offers his own time to get out there and speak about manufacturing. The great thing about this time is that people want to listen, and Drew has done a great job advocating for small and medium-sized manufacturers at a time when people are listening.
Jay Timmons: Well, you know the story—everybody knows the story. It's really iconic. Drew buys Marlin Steel; he transforms it from a bagel basket maker to a growing and prospering manufacturer in Baltimore, lifting up men and women into the middle class. And his success at the NAM is directly because of what he's done and what he's led at his own company.
Mickey Greenblatt (Drew's Father): He bought the company in 1998. We moved it down here—it's much better in Baltimore than it is in Brooklyn—and we bought all kinds of new equipment and it's just a different company. As a member of the Marlin family, of course, I'm happy to see it as, you know, his father. I'm delighted.
Molly Flax: He's usually here—the first one here is the last one to leave. You can hear him throughout the entire building. When I'm just sitting at my desk, I can hear him talking to clients all day long.
Liston Clise: He constantly has his hand in every single job that basically goes through production here. He wants to know what's running on what machines, why it's running like that, so he has a good understanding of how his plant is running.
Chris Elwood: We have a lot of employees who have been here for not just measured in years, but decades.
Wesley Chan: He's really taken the profits that he's earned and invested it back in the company.
Colleague: He presents an important case that needs to be presented. American manufacturing is the heart of what makes us strong.
Chuck Wetherington: There' are a bunch of the members of his team that I've met through the years that he's very excited about how they've grown. He's taken people off the shop floor—now they're process engineers—and created opportunities for people. He really loves doing that, and it's exciting to watch.
Jay Timmons: Drew has his family of small and medium manufacturers at the NAM who he aggressively fights for; he has his family at Marlin Steel who he cares so deeply about; and he has his own family.
Jane Greenblatt (Drew’s Wife): When I met him, he didn't set out to be a manufacturer; he more set out to find something to do that he felt like he was making a difference—that he was changing people's lives.
He knew that he wanted to run his own company, which is so interesting because when I first met him, that first meeting, he was so direct, so transparent: "This is the way it's going to be, this is what we're going to do." And at the end of that first date he said, "What are you doing the rest of your life?" Like, that's a little forward! But he's that kind of person. He's very positive; he sees something he wants to do and he's gonna go for it.
Max Greenblatt (Drew’s Son): He does bring an intensity to fatherhood, I would say, but in a good way. He was my brother's soccer coach and he spends so much time with my brothers and I.
Charlie Greenblatt (Drew’s Son): It was special, you know, having him coach my team. Him being my coach was a special thing for so long—he was like ten years on us.
Jane Greenblatt (Drew’s Wife): He is an amazing dad. He's very involved and tuned into each child and what their interests are. He loves to spend one-on-one time with them.
Sam Greenblatt (Drew’s Son): Whenever Dad is working, he'll always stop if I have a question or if I want to do something with him. It's always family first.
Max Greenblatt (Drew’s Son): I mean, it was never even a question of whether he could make time with me, even though he would spend so much time at the factory. It's amazing how he gets any sleep.
Charlie Greenblatt (Drew’s Son): I have no idea how he does it. It's not like he ever is complaining; he's just like, "Oh, I was up at 4:00 in the morning doing stuff." And I'm like, how do you go to work, then come home, then hang out with us?
Max Greenblatt (Drew’s Son): My dad's very driven and he's very passionate. Everything he does, he tries to do 100%.
Sam Greenblatt (Drew’s Son): I'm very proud of my dad because he's taken a business and made it so much bigger than it is. My dad will fight for manufacturers and for my family. He'll fight for whatever he believes in.
Charlie Greenblatt (Drew’s Son): He really just wants everyone—he wants to help everyone. I think that's a very unique thing about him. It makes him a great dad and someone to look up to and aspire to.
Jane Greenblatt (Drew’s Wife): He wants to fight this fight; he wants to make sure that manufacturing is heard. like he's doing this as part of his job not only with n am for Marlin
Drew Greenblatt: I'm very optimistic about American manufacturing. We're gonna see an American manufacturing Renaissance.
Chris Elwood: Drew is on the short list of every reporter and every politician’s rolodex. The number of politicians we've seen come through here! He's met the last three or four Presidents where he's been summoned down there to speak with them about matters that are important to small business and manufacturing. So yeah that's evident everywhere every day around here yeah.
Liston Clise: It makes me proud to work for him. I constantly get phone calls from my in-laws that they saw Marlin on the news.
Sam Greenblatt (Drew’s Son): When I first saw my dad on TV and it's the President and Vice President, I was really proud of him. My dad's really passionate about workers and people and he will always talk about what's the best thing for them on TV. I know he’ll fight for what he believes.
Chuck Wetherington: Drew, I just want to say thank you for all that you've done for the NAM, for small and medium manufacturers across the United States. You've been a fantastic leader, you have a great passion in your voice, and it's been an honor to serve with you. Congratulations on your success with what you've achieved and good luck to you going forward.
Wesley Chan: Congratulations, Drew, for our efforts at the National Association of Manufacturers.
Chris Elwood: Drew, congratulations on your tenure with NAM.
Vicki Holt: Thank you, Drew, for your leadership, your energy, and your commitment to the small to medium sized manufacturers.
Molly Flax: Congratulations, Drew. We're really happy for you and really proud of all the work that you've done.
Liston Clise: Hey Drew, thank you for representing us—the small guys through n am
Larry Hogan: Drew, thank you for your leadership as chair of the National Association of Manufacturers small and medium group you've made Maryland proud and given a powerful voice to the men and women who make our state in our country
Jay Timmons: Drew, you raised the profile of small and medium manufacturers in America and you made sure that they had a powerful seat at the table that table was often at the White House thank you so much for your leadership as SMM chair your friendship and for your enthusiasm for America's Promise in manufacturing. You made sure they had a powerful seat at the table. That table was often at the White House.
Charlie Greenblatt (Drew’s Son): Great job with all the work he's done with NAM. Love you, Dad!
Sam Greenblatt (Drew’s Son): Hi Dad, I love you! Thank you for everything you've done for NAM, our family, and for the business. I love you so much, I'm so proud of you.
Max Greenblatt (Drew’s Son): Congratulations with your work on the NAM. Dad, we're all proud of you and we love you.
Jane Greenblatt (Drew’s Wife): Drew, congratulations. I'm so proud of you and all the work you've done for NAM during your tenure. I love you and congratulations again.
Mickey Greenblatt (Drew's Father): Well Drew, I'm very proud of what you've done to make Marlin a lot better than it was, and it's on its way to being something a whole lot better. I'm proud of what you've done, how you've done it, and what you've done with the National Association of Manufacturers to speak up for American manufacturing—because that's the muscle of America, and you're building it. Thanks.

Letter from U.S. House of Representatives, Committee on Small Business
Drew created a state-of-the art, highly successful business manufacturing custom industrial baskets, shelves and hooks from the small bagel basket company in Baltimore that he bought in 1998. Today, his products are exported to approximately 25 countries worldwide and support a growing number of good-paying, high-skilled jobs. Drew's extraordinary energy, expertise and leadership on the National Association of Manufacturers' (NAM) Executive Committee have been tremendously valuable in our efforts to make the United States the best country in the world to manufacture, to innovate and to create jobs.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce congratulates Drew Greenblatt, President of Marlin Steel, for being recognized as one of Maryland's International Business Leaders by the World Trade Center Institute in Baltimore, MD. Marlin Steel exports to over 20 countries and Mr. Greenblatt understands the importance of international trade and the impact it can have on small business. Last April, Drew testified on behalf of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce before the U.S. House of Representatives Small Business Committee on Evaluating the Impact of Small Business Trade Policy on Job Creation and Economic Growth. He explained: "America cannot have a growing economy or lift the wages and incomes of our citizens unless we continue to reach beyond our borders and sell products, agricultural goods, and services. After all, 95% of the world's population lives outside the United States. We want to sell to them." Drew's leadership on the importance of international trade is recognized by the business community and he is a very deserving recipient of the International Business Leaders award.

As a fellow member and past president of the Wire Fabricators Association, Drew Greenblatt has been a consistent and highly regarded leader within our industry group. Drew always brings a high level of energy to every discussion and he is rich with ideas. He is a fun guy to be around and I look forward to seeing him at our industry group functions. I know Drew is very committed to manufacturing American made products and to protection of intellectual property rights. He is fair minded but absolutely not afraid to compete. I've always been impressed with the way he has been able to grow his business and with the shear sense of hustle and urgency that he always seems to exhibit with his business. We are glad that I don't have to compete against him!
Steven Rollins
President and Chief Executive Officer - Nashville Wire Products
Drew Greenblatt and his company, Marlin Steel Wire Products, have been very active in the Wire Fabricators Association for quite some time. Drew has sponsored many companies for membership in our organization and has motivated others to do the same. He is a man of his convictions and always proves that there is a better way to do things; status quo is simply not acceptable. During his presidency, Drew implemented numerous member services that did nothing but make our organization stronger. He continually thinks outside the box and always offers suggestions to raise the bar for our organization and our member companies. He is a team player and works hard to not only increase the respect and visibility for his company, but for other wire fabricating companies, the Wire Fabricators Association and the industry as a whole. I can think of no other company or individual more deserving of this honor.
Roseanne M. Hoban
Executive Director - Wire Fabricators AssociationAs a successful entrepreneur, Drew Greenblatt understands that the ability to pivot to meet changing circumstances is key to success. Greenblatt is the president of Marlin Steel, a manufacturer of steel wire baskets and sheet metal fabrication. He is enthusiastic about the significant role that Tulane has played in his success. “I had a phenomenal experience at Tulane University.”
Greenblatt graduated with an MBA from the A. B. Freeman School of Business in 1991 and, using expertise he gained at Tulane, wrote a business plan for a security company that he wanted to buy. He then reached out to the Tulane alumni network, and a bank where a Tulane alumnus was the commercial lending officer lent him the money he needed to purchase the company. In less than three years, Greenblatt tripled the company’s revenue, and sold it for five and a half times what he paid.Mary Sparacello
