French students with Marlin president Drew Greenblatt

Students from France recently toured Marlin Steel on an exchange program through the Center for Intercultural Education and Development (CIED) at Georgetown University. Marlin President Drew Greenblatt led the students on a visit through the plant and discussed its approach to "Quality Engineering Quick," which has helped Marlin Steel grow despite the recession and fierce competition abroad.

The Center was established at Georgetown in 1981 to promote multicultural understanding and serve people from diverse economic, geographic and social backgrounds. Marlin's owner described the continued importance of manufacturing jobs in fortifying the American middle class.
