At Marlin Steel, reshoring has helped create and sustain good jobs for American workers. These are people building meaningful careers in manufacturing. Their stories show why this recognition matters not just to the company, but to the individuals behind every part we produce.
William Rocks, a press brake operator at Marlin Steel in Baltimore, came to the company after years in aerospace CNC programming. He now works with precision sheet metal parts and operates machines that require focus and accuracy.
“I program and operate a press brake machine”, he said. “It is very exact work, not always easy, but very rewarding at the end of the day because I know I am making things that help people.”
Another team member, Angelina Seaman, the first woman in her department, shared how Marlin changed her path and perspective.
“I never saw myself working at a place like Marlin Steel. I was just looking for a job to get back on my feet. Now, I am the first woman in my department. I grease machines, run the forklift, ensure tolerances, and package parts for shipping. What I did not expect was how much I would grow to love it. The people here push me to do better and never stop learning. My hands-on experience in manufacturing has opened my eyes to realize my opportunities are limitless.”
Their words reflect what reshoring truly enables. A strong manufacturing base built not just on equipment and materials, but on people with talent, pride, and a future they are shaping every day.

Looking Ahead
Marlin Steel’s reshoring efforts continue to grow. With expanding opportunities across its facilities and increasing demand for domestically made parts, the company remains committed to investing in its people, its equipment, and its mission to deliver Quality Engineered Quick.
