Welder/Fabricator position

The Welder/Fabricator position is Currently for 2nd and weekend shifts only.

Job Description
  • Responsible for fabricating and assembling various metal products using tools, machines and their own hands.
  • Build samples and test products.
Essential Functions:
  • Ensure working environment is clean and safe.
  • Operate fabrication machines such as resistance welders, MIG welders, TIG welders, hand bending tools, press brake, grinders, ring roller, saw shear.
  • Select appropriate material such as mild steel, galvanized steel, stainless steel and aluminum.
  • Read and interpret measurements, blueprints, sketches and assembly instructions.
  • Measure work piece dimensions to determine accuracy of operations, verify specifications and alter dimensions to fit specifications.
  • Complete minor maintenance on such as oiling machines, dies or work pieces.
  • Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform minor repairs as needed.
  • Observes machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction.
  • Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
  • Report errors in production line
  • Complete quality control forms in accordance with company procedures.
  • Communicate and provide information to supervisors and coworkers.
  • Removes burrs, sharp edges or rust from work piece.
  • Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Competencies
  • Welding: MIG, TIG and Resistance.
  • Experience with stainless steel, plain steel, and aluminum.
  • Use measuring equipment (to include tape measure, micrometer etc.) for verification of parts to specification.
  • Understanding of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Mechanical knowledge of machine and tools including the ability to learn new equipment and techniques.
  • Teamwork orientation.
  • Problem solving/analysis.
  • Technical capacity.

CNC Machine Setter/Operator
(Sheet Metal dept.)

Essential Functions:

  • Select appropriate material as required by each job specification
  • Keep raw materials storage area properly organized and all materials identified.
  • Read and interpret measurements, blueprints, sketches and assembly instructions
  • Measure work piece dimensions to determine accuracy of operations, verify specifications and alter dimensions to fit specifications
  • Set up and operate hand bending and pneumatic bending equipment as required per part specifications and machine capabilities.
  • Complete minor maintenance such as oiling machines, dies or work pieces
  • Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform repairs as needed
  • Observes machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction
  • Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems
  • Report errors in production line

Quality Inspector

The Quality Assurance Technician reports to the Quality Manager and is responsible for, but not limited to, ensuring high quality output from production and maintaining company quality procedures in accordance with ISO 9001 quality standards.

Essential Duties:
  • Perform inspections on manufactured product in accordance with the company’s ISO 9001 quality procedures. (1st article, in-process, and final inspections)
  • Perform receiving inspections on incoming materials
  • Collect product non-conformance data by completing non-conformance reports
  • Ensure RMA (return material authorization) procedures are followed and forms closed out correctly
  • Perform calibrations on measuring and test equipment
  • Assist with other ISO related-procedures and continuous-improvement projects as assigned
  • Assist with ISO audit processes
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring equipment (i.e. measuring tape, dial calipers, micrometers, etc.)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced work environment
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Able to complete tasks accurately and timely with minimal supervision
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to interface well with staff
