Marlin Steel Wire Products has been named to the Baltimore Business Journal's 2026 Fast 50 list, an annual ranking that recognizes the fastest-growing companies in the greater Baltimore region. The list, produced in partnership with KPMG and Truist, honors companies that have demonstrated exceptional revenue growth, job creation, and operational resilience over the past several years.
For Marlin Steel—founded in Baltimore in 1968 and a precision manufacturer of custom wire baskets, cable trays, and sheet metal fabrication —the recognition reflects nearly six decades of engineering innovation and our more recent expansion into new markets, including data centers, aerospace, medical device manufacturing, and retail.
A Track Record of Growth
Marlin Steel's inclusion on the Fast 50 list caps a multi-year stretch of expansion. We have grown our customer base across industries that increasingly depend on precision-engineered components manufactured to exacting tolerances, including hyperscale data center builds, medical and pharmaceutical equipment, and aerospace assemblies.
That growth has been matched by continued investment in people and equipment at our Baltimore, MD, headquarters, where we have now logged more than 2,000 consecutive safe working days on the shop floor—a marker of operational discipline that has scaled alongside production volume.
The momentum extends beyond Marlin Steel itself. As part of the broader Marlin family of companies, sister brand Madsen Steel Wire Products (Orland, IN and Bronson, MI) has logged over 2,740 safe days, and the family's newest addition, Franklin Display Group (Belvidere, IL), joined in 2026 and has already logged 315 days without a recordable safety incident. Together, the group represents a growing footprint of American-made precision manufacturing.
What the Recognition Means
"This recognition belongs to our entire team," said Drew Greenblatt, CEO of Marlin Steel. "Every day, our people show up ready to solve tough manufacturing challenges for our customers, and that dedication is what drives growth like this."
Marlin Steel and our fellow 2026 Fast 50 honorees will be celebrated at an awards reception hosted by the Baltimore Business Journal on Tuesday, November 10th, from 4:00–6:30 PM at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront. The list itself—ranked from 50 to 1—will be revealed live at the event, with a full profile of honorees to follow in the Baltimore Business Journal's Fast 50 print edition.
Built on Quality Engineered Quick®
Marlin Steel's growth is rooted in a simple philosophy captured in our trademark tagline: Quality Engineered Quick®. We design and manufacture custom wire baskets, cable management systems, and sheet metal parts entirely in the United States, with rapid prototyping and short lead times that have become a competitive differentiator as customers look to shorten their own supply chains.
That combination of speed and precision has positioned Marlin Steel to serve fast-moving sectors like data center infrastructure, where custom cable tray and cable management solutions must be manufactured and delivered on compressed construction timelines—a dynamic that has become a meaningful growth driver for us over the past two years.Looking Ahead
Being named to the 2026 Fast 50 is a milestone, not a finish line. Marlin Steel continues to invest in our Baltimore facility, our people, and our capabilities as we pursue growth in new and existing markets. We will mark the occasion alongside our fellow honorees this November, but the bigger story is what comes next: continued American manufacturing growth, built one precision part at a time.
